Pastor Jim Loper
Pastor Jim Loper was born May 13, 1954, in Houston, Texas. He and his wife, Debbie, were married on May 16, 1981. The Lopers have four children, Michael, Candace, Camille, and Jonathan.
After committing his life to Jesus in 1976, Pastor Loper was baptized in the Holy Spirit the following year. From 1977 to 1983 he served in helps ministry and as a youth minister and teacher in his home church in Amarillo, Texas.
Jim and Debbie graduated from Pastor John Osteen's Lakewood Bible Institute in 1984, and Jim received a Bachelor of Theology degree from Bethany Bible College in Dothan, Alabama in 1992. He served as an associate minister at Amarillo Christian Center in Amarillo from 1984 to 1987.
Cornerstone Church in Borger, Texas, was founded by Pastor Loper in January, 1987 with 25 people. The church grew and impacted Borger and the surrounding area through its uncompromised presentation of the unchanging Jesus, its conviction for Christian Education, its passion for revival, and its commitment to assist other churches in the Texas Panhandle.
In 2003, Pastor Loper obeyed the Lord's call to plant a new church in Amarillo, Texas. In addition to pastoring Cornerstone Church in Amarillo, he also gives apostolic assistance to Cornerstone Church in Borger, Dumas, and Wheeler, Texas.
Pastor Loper ministers in other churches and conferences in the United States, and has ministered in Mexico, El Salvador, Canada, India, Ireland, and Scotland.

Debra serves at her husband's side as a teacher, Director of Women's Ministry, and Women's Counselor at Cornerstone. Her warmth, mercy, and patience are tremendous assets to her husband and the church.
